Application

The Taylor Made VR (Vibration Resistant) Shear Sub provides a means of emergency disconnect with a straight pull force.  When used with a motor, the compensator section prevents vibration from working against the shear screws.  Piston areas are designed to prevent pressure differential from creating force toward separation.  Once separated, a internal fishing is provided for subsequent retrieval attempts.
