Application

The Taylor Made Hydraulic "J" Pulling Tool is a design modification of standard "J" type pulling tools to engage external fishing necks and release by means of hydraulic activation.  The Hydraulic "J" Pulling Tool may be deployed on Coiled Tubing or jointed pipe.  Standard Hydraulic "J" Pulling Tools are set so that low pump pressure (less than 2000 psi differential at the tool) will not cause activation, increased pump pressure (greater than 2000 psi differential at the tool) will cause activation to the release position.  Required pressure drop through the tool for hydraulic activation can be altered by selecting largert or smaller core orifice jets.   Tool activation between the engage position and release position can be repeated as many times as required.  Tool activation is not dependent upon shear pins or core contact with the fishing neck.  Tool "reach of catch" or core lengths are standard and available in "C", "S", and "L" lengths.   Up or Down jar activation applied to the Hydraulic "J" Pulling Tool will not cause disengagement from the fish.

Design Features
